Which Chakra Meditation is Right for you?
If you’re looking for a simple way to balance your Chakras you can try your hand at Chakra Meditation. Chakra Meditation works to balance specific energy centers in the body by using colors and sounds which represent the Chakra you are focusing on. This type of Meditation is slightly different from a guided meditation as it uses specific frequencies and colors to align the energy centers in the body relating to the specific Chakra.
The root chakra is the first chakra, it’s located at the base of the spine and is based on the earth element. The root chakra is associated with the feeling of being grounded and feeling safe, this applies to all areas of your life including financial security, independence and food. The root chakra lays the foundation for positive change in your life. The root chakra is how we ground ourselves and begin to manifest our desires.
If your root chakra is out of balance you may notice feelings of insecurity, judgment of others, negativity and negative thinking that you can’t shake or greed.
The sacral chakra is the second chakra, it’s located at the center of your lower belly in the back and is based on the water element. The sacral chakra is associated with the feeling of your emotions, creativity, pleasure and sensuality. The sacral chakra allows us to feel the world around us through our emotions, it helps you to connect with all your senses and helps you to become sexually open exploring all of your fantasies.
If your sacral chakra is out of balance you may notice co-dependency with other people, feeling out of touch with your emotions, a lack of emotion, substance abuse, a feeling of being stuck or a lack of sexual desire.
The Solar Plexus chakra is the third chakra, it’s located in the upper abdomen in the stomach area and is based on the fire element. The solar plexus chakra is associated with your mental abilities, personal responsibility, self expression and will. The solar plexus chakra helps us to see the world and ourselves with upmost clarity, and helps with confidence in making the right decisions.
If your solar plexus chakra is out of balance you may notice feelings of jealousy, self shame, fear of moving forward in life, disgust with others or being envious.
The Heart chakra is the forth chakra, it’s located in the center of the chest just above the heart and is based on the air element. The heart chakra is associated with your ability to have an open heart, love yourself and others, and have compassion, empathy and forgiveness. The heart chakra helps us to see our lives and the people around us through the eyes of love.
If your heart chakra is out of balance you may notice becoming defensive, holding grudges, jealousy and a fear of intimacy.
The throat chakra is the fifth chakra, it’s located at the throat in the center of the neck and is based on the ether element. The throat chakra is associated with your communication and expression – verbal or non verbal, your spiritual connection and a good sense of timing. The throat chakra helps us in all of our relationships with the ability give clear direction and express our needs in a healthy way.
If your throat chakra is out of balance you may notice a fear of speaking, not listening to what others have to say, a lack of connection with others, telling lies or being a gossip.
The third eye chakra is the sixth chakra, it’s located on the forehead between the eyebrows and is based on the light element. The third eye chakra is associated with your intuition, imagination, wisdom and decision making. The third eye helps us to make clear decisions based on our true purpose and to flow joyfully through life and helps us to know what the right thing to do is when faced with diverse options.
If your third eye chakra is out of balance you may notice a feeling of disconnection, the inability to make a clear decision, making bad choices or a feeling of being out of touch and not connected with yourself.
The crown chakra is the seventh chakra, it’s located on the top of your head and is based on time and space. The crown chakra is associated with thought , senses and consciousness, it allows us to access higher states of consciousness. The crown chakra helps us to go deeper into meditation, visualize better life experiences and access higher realms or different dimensions.
If your crown chakra is out of balance you may notice a very difficult time entering meditation, living in your head, constant mind clutter or an inability to connect with yourself in any spiritual way.
